He misses you like he saw you for the last time even though you’re in the same city as him.
He gets on his praying mat and doesn’t pray for you. He prays so that he can pray beside you someday.
He still thinks about you when things get tough around him. He still hopes to see your magical smile that would act as an antidote and help him tackle any obstacle that life throws at him. His happiness is to keep that smile on your face because it’s that addictive and precious.
His eyes gets wobbly when he looks at sunflowers.
He still misses the late night conversations he used to have with you. He misses how you used to take your time to say something.
He wants to protect you from harm. He knows that you are your daddy’s princess and he wants to treat you like one. He believes his legs are meant to hold you up when you’re down, not to walk all over you.
Even though he’s aware of the fact that you don’t fit in his picture that he painted of you, he still fantasizes the thought that someday, in some beautiful moment, something would happen. And that would stop the pain. And that would help him realize that all that suffering and Dua was worth it.
It hurts to let go, but it hurts him even more to hold on.
But what a foolish man he is, he chose the hurtful path.
He knows how you bottle things up within yourself. But he wants to put his love aside, because he knows that you’re not looking for a lover- but a friend.
You’re still his favorite person. You’re still his sunshine.
You’re still the person to him who wants to call you “mine”.
He still remembers when an old lady told him to take good care of you. He still remembers his promise to her.
He is okay, and will always be okay because even if you’re not there with him, you’re in his thoughts.
