We all just want to be productive. All day, every day, 24/7

Instead of ranting about how we plan on being productive but we fail to, here are some simple tips and tricks to boost your productivity on a whole new level.

Some of them are questions that you ask yourself and find the answers, while others are suggestions.

On another note, a person will be the most productive if she/he knows how to manage and invest time, attention, and energy. All three skills are necessary, and they need to be mastered by the individual to be the most productive ever.

  1. What are your values?
  2. What are your core values of your values?
  3. Rule of 3: Fast forward to the end of the day and see yourself accomplishing 3 things. What are they?
  4. Find your prime time, i.e., the time when you are most productive.
  5. When you feel like you’re going to procrastinate, what are the triggers that are leading you in that direction? Recognize them and shut them down!
  6. See your future self and compare your present self with the future self. Think what improvements you need to make.
  7. Internet wastes a lot of your productivity time. Stop using it, limit your usage if you want to be more productive and get work done fast!
  8. Time your tasks! And if you do, your energy and attention will be timed as well!
  9. Always plan your activities ahead. Plan. Plan. Plan. It saves time, attention, and energy.
  10. Shrink your low-level impact tasks as much as possible. Don’t rush, learn slowly the art. And, always remember, reward yourself for every single accomplishment you make in your life!!
  11. Prioritize your tasks. Learn how to say no. Time is very limited and sacred, use it wisely.
  12. Create small changes every day. Don’t rush, take things one at a time. It’s all about those baby steps. And, create a section of mind dump on a piece of paper and write down your free ideas that you must, will, or simply forgot to execute.
  13. Create an “Improve” list which consists of tasks that basically consists of plans or topics of areas that you want to improve.
  14. Turn off your notification, you’ll be more productive.
  15. Focus. Focus on one thing at a time. If you get distracted, and it’s possible because we are humans, gently bring your attention back. Finish it completely (ace it), and then move on to the next one.
  16. Meditate. Train your attention muscle, even though it’s difficult.
  17. Eat healthy, but one step at a time. Eat something healthy today, even just a bite, and keep on doing that from the day after. It’ll stack up and you’ll see yourself doing that on autopilot mode very soon!!
  18. Drink more water, let go off the soda, caffeine, and alcohol.
  19. Exercise. Take baby steps, one at a time, and stack them up.
  20. Sleep adequately. You don’t have to wake up early or sleep early, it’s all about how many things are you getting done while you’re awake. Have enough sleep and create a bedtime ritual which is basically disconnecting yourself from the world as you slowly try to fall asleep.
  21. Take frequent breaks, recall things you’re grateful for, have a journal to document your life, break your tasks down, ask yourself for advice, reward yourself, know that you’re evolving constantly and you have the potential to grow more, and always recognize your accomplishments.
